I’m Hillary, a designer who got my start juggling a 9-to-5 design job, waiting tables, and building something creative with, my husband, Caleb. Together, we opened Blonde Grizzly, a little art gallery in downtown Salt Lake City. Caleb ran the shop and curated monthly art shows, and I handled all the design work—flyers, posters, anything we needed to bring it to life.

A friend found out I was waiting tables and asked if I’d quit to try a creative side project with her. I said yes, and that leap led to starting Petite Lemon. We began with small projects but quickly landed larger clients like Shutterfly. For the past 18 years, we’ve been Shutterfly’s largest external design partner—creating custom holiday cards, invitations, calendars, and more.

Four years ago, I joined Your Very Favorite as a consultant, eventually becoming a partner. I’ve streamlined wholesale, managed social media, tackled tradeshows, and jumped in wherever I’m needed to help the company grow.

While I’m leading the creative work and direction today, Caleb’s always been part of the story—running the gallery, printing t-shirts, and being the steady support behind the scenes.
